Prophet Adam (AS) and Iblis

Prophet Adam (AS) and Iblis In the heavens, the angels were busy with praise and worship, but there was a growing sense of anticipation. Eventually, Allah’s command was heard: "I am going to place a vicegerent (representative) on Earth." The angels were curious and asked, "Why will You create someone who will cause disorder and bloodshed on Earth? We praise You and declare Your purity." Allah replied, "I know what you do not know" (Surah Al-Baqarah, 2:30). Allah commanded Angel Jibreel (Gabriel) to collect soil from different parts of the Earth. According to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Prophet Adam (AS) was created from this soil, which is why his descendants are of different colors and languages (Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi). After his creation, Prophet Adam (AS) sneezed, and the first words he spoke were "Alhamdulillah" (All praise belongs to Allah). Allah then blessed him with mercy (Ibn Hibban). Allah granted Adam (AS) four special honors: 1. He was cr...

The Consequences of Sin

The Consequences of Sin My father used to tell a story: One night, a man committed a terrible sin in a graveyard. The king of that time, who was a pious man, had a dream. In the dream, a man dressed in white told him about the sinner and instructed him to bring the man to the royal court and appoint him as the king’s special advisor. The king woke up confused. The king sent soldiers to the place mentioned in the dream. They found the man there, and he became very afraid, thinking his death was near. He was taken to the king, who told him about his crime and declared him his new advisor. The next night, the king had another dream. He asked the man in white why he was told to promote a sinner. The man explained, “God disliked his sin, but since his time of death had not come, God wanted him to live in luxury so he would never regret his sin or ask for forgiveness. His punishment in the afterlife is already decided. He will live in pleasure and believe he has succeeded.” The king realized...

Life Lessons to Follow

Life Lessons to Follow 1. Choosing a Business Partner: If someone wants to do business with you, eat with them first. If they choose the best food for themselves, they may take more in business too. But if they offer you the best, they are trustworthy. 2. Testing a Friend: If someone wants friendship, travel with them on public transport. If they avoid paying fare, they may want to take advantage of you and are not worth trusting. 3. Relationship Test: If someone wants a relationship with you, accidentally damage a small item of theirs (e.g., spill food on their shoes or move their phone to the edge of a table). If they talk too much about the item’s value, they may love money more than relationships. 4. Lending Money: If someone asks for a loan, quote a high price for an item. If they don’t try to negotiate, they may not plan to pay you back. 5. People Who Swear Frequently: If someone swears often while speaking, they are likely lying. They use oaths to make their lies sound true...

Allah’s Awareness of Your Pain and His Promise of Relief

Allah’s Awareness of Your Pain and His Promise of Relief Allah, the Lord of Glory, is watching over all of you. He knows the state of every heart. He is aware of every smile you wear, even when your heart is breaking and your soul is shattered. He understands the moments when pain overwhelms you and leaves you broken. He knows about the dark nights when you felt death was better than life. No one knows the heart’s condition better than its Creator. Remember, when ease is intended for you, the trials often become harder. But when your patience seems to be failing, Allah’s promise of reward is fulfilled. He says "Be," and the restless heart finds peace. Every sorrow turns into comfort, empty hands are filled with love, and the doors of mercy and blessings are opened. Every incomplete story becomes a complete tale. That is why Allah, the Lord of Glory, commands, “Be patient in waiting for your Lord’s command, for you are in Our sight.” And, “Indeed, there is an endless reward f...

Stories of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA) and His Spiritual Rank

Stories of Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA) and His Spiritual Rank Once, Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA) was delivering a sermon to a large crowd in Baghdad. During the sermon, he suddenly stopped and looked up at the sky, saying, "O Khizar  (AS), wait and listen to the words of the Khizar  of Muhammad (PBUH)." Hazrat Khidzar (AS) stopped, listened to the full sermon, and then departed. It is narrated that Hazrat Khizar  (AS) once asked Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA) to teach him some spiritual secrets. The Sheikh replied, "O Khizar, I will give you the same answer you gave to Hazrat Musa (AS): ‘You cannot remain patient with me.’ You are the Khizar of Bani Israel, and I am the Khizar of Muhammad (PBUH)." Sheikh Abdul Qadir Jilani (RA) once said, "I am a descendant of Imam Hussain (RA), and my rank is hidden—no one can comprehend it. My foot is on the neck of every saint." When he made this statement, Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti (RA) was in the valleys of Khora...

The Mystery of Death in Ants

The Mystery of Death in Ants When an ant dies, it informs its colony in a unique way. Scientists have discovered that a dying ant releases a specific smell called "oleic acid." This smell alerts other ants, prompting them to immediately carry the dead ant away to prevent attracting other insects. When other ants detect this smell, they know one of their companions has died and begin the burial process. In one experiment, a scientist applied this "death smell" to a living ant. The other ants mistakenly thought it was dead and tried to bury it, even though it was alive and moving. Once the smell was removed, the ant was allowed back into the colony. Ants also have organized cemeteries away from their nests to keep the colony clean. If burial ants get covered with the death smell, they clean themselves before returning to the colony to avoid being buried alive. This behavior reminds us of Allah’s words in the Quran: "There is no creature on earth or bird that fli...

The Power of Tahajjud: Allah’s Special Mercy

The Power of Tahajjud: Allah’s Special Mercy If there was nothing special about Tahajjud, why would Allah come to the lowest heaven every night just to say: "Who is asking Me so that I may answer their prayer? Who is seeking from Me so that I may grant it? Who is asking for forgiveness so that I may forgive them?" Allah can hear prayers from the seventh heaven, but He still comes to the lowest heaven to meet His special servants. Allah does not come to the lowest heaven to send His servants away empty-handed. He comes to bless them, bring peace to their hearts, and fulfill their prayers according to His wisdom. Truly, Allah’s mercy covers those who are connected to the worship of Tahajjud.

How to Overcome Complaining, Criticizing, and Comparing for a Happier Life

How to Overcome Complaining, Criticizing, and Comparing for a Happier Life In life, we all want happiness, but we often face obstacles. Some challenges are beyond our control, but many come from our own thoughts and actions. Three common habits that block happiness are what I call the "three C's": 1. Complain Complaining means focusing on what’s wrong instead of what’s right. It’s a negative habit that keeps us stuck on problems. When we complain, we show a lack of gratitude, which leads to unhappiness. 2. Criticize Criticizing means judging others and pointing out their faults. This habit may come from ego or insecurity. It prevents deep connections because it lacks empathy and compassion. Avoiding criticism helps build better relationships and a positive mindset. 3. Compare Comparing ourselves to others makes us measure our worth by their achievements or happiness. This creates jealousy and low self-esteem. True happiness comes from accepting our uniqueness and being co...

Trust in Allah’s Mercy – He Knows Your Pain

Trust in Allah’s Mercy – He Knows Your Pain He knows everything. He knows that you are in pain right now. He understands the restlessness in your heart. He sees your tearful eyes looking up to the sky, hoping for help. And He is telling you: "Do not lose hope in Allah’s mercy." Remember, He also says: "My mercy is greater than My wrath." He is the Master of both worlds, the Creator of "Kun" (Be), and He will soon create a way out of your difficulties. Not even a single leaf can move without His command, so your trials are not without reason. When He wants to teach you patience and strength, He puts you through small tests. And remember, He chooses only those whom He wants to make special, those whom He wants to bring closer to Himself, those He loves. He is the Lord of Light and the Master of Darkness. If He wills, He can brighten the darkest hearts in the blink of an eye. If He wills, the moon can shine like the sun, and the sun can glow like the moon. I...

The Man, the Lamp, and the Devil – A Story from Rumi

The Man, the Lamp, and the Devil – A Story from Rumi One night, a man left his house to go to the mosque for prayer. It was very dark, and he accidentally tripped and fell into the mud. He got up, went home, changed his clothes, and started walking toward the mosque again. After taking a few steps, he tripped again and fell into the mud once more. He returned home, changed his clothes again, and set out for the mosque a third time. This time, at his doorstep, he met a man holding a lamp. The man did not say anything but started walking ahead, lighting the way for him. With the help of the lamp, the man reached the mosque safely. When he finished his prayer and stepped out of the mosque, he saw the lamp-bearer waiting for him. The stranger then walked with him, lighting the way back to his home. When they reached his house, the man asked, "Who are you?" The stranger replied, "I am Satan." Shocked, the man asked, "You should have been happy if I missed my prayer....

The Cruelty and Tragic End of Hajjaj bin Yusuf

The Cruelty and Tragic End of Hajjaj bin Yusuf Hajjaj bin Yusuf was a Hafiz of the Quran. He used to recite 10 parts of the Quran in one unit of Tahajjud prayer, led congregational prayers, and stayed away from alcohol and adultery. However, he was extremely cruel. When his death came, it was a lesson for all. The Martyrdom of Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (RA) Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (RA), a great Tabi’i (successor of the Companions), once said while delivering a sermon, “Hajjaj is a tyrant.” When Hajjaj heard about this, he called Hazrat Saeed (RA) to his court and asked, “Did you say this about me?” Hazrat Saeed (RA) replied, “Yes, you are indeed a tyrant.” Hajjaj became furious and ordered his execution. As Hazrat Saeed (RA) was being taken out for execution, he smiled. Hajjaj asked, “Why are you smiling?” He replied, “I am smiling at your foolishness and how Allah is giving you time.” When the executioner placed a knife on his neck, Hazrat Saeed (RA) turned his face toward the Qibla and...

The Importance and Blessings of the Month of Sha'ban

The Importance and Blessings of the Month of Sha'ban Sha'ban is the eighth month of the Islamic calendar and is full of blessings. It is an important month for voluntary fasting and worship. The main reason for its importance is that it prepares us for the holy month of Ramadan, including fasting, Taraweeh, and other acts of worship. Because of this, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) prayed for blessings in this month. Hazrat Anas (RA) reported that the Prophet (PBUH) used to say: "O Allah! Bless us in Rajab and Sha'ban and allow us to reach Ramadan." When asked which fasting is best after Ramadan, the Prophet (PBUH) said: "The fasting of Sha'ban." (Tirmidhi) Hazrat Aisha (RA) said that she never saw the Prophet (PBUH) fast more in any month than in Sha'ban. However, Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RA) reported that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "When half of Sha'ban is over, do not fast." Scholars explain that this ruling applies to those w...

Trials Are Not a Punishment but a Blessing from Allah

Trials Are Not a Punishment but a Blessing from Allah Trials are never a punishment; rather, they are a blessing and kindness from Allah. They show that you are special in His eyes. He counts you among His good and righteous servants. Allah tests only those who have faith, patience, and trust in Him. So, instead of complaining, think deeply about His wisdom and plan. Understand that trials are just a way to strengthen your connection with Allah, make your faith stronger, and earn great rewards. Allah Himself says: "Indeed, Allah is with those who are patient, and He loves those who are patient. They will receive their full and limitless reward." Remember, those who have no faith are left on their own. They create difficulties for themselves and never find a way out.

The Power of Faith: Call Upon Allah, He Will Answer!

Call upon Allah with complete faith because His miracles begin where your hopes end. If one door closes, do not worry—believers always have many paths open for them. He is so merciful that He blesses even those who do not remember Him. He listens to the voiceless and even answers the prayers of non-believers. Then how can He send you back empty-handed when you are a follower of His beloved Prophet ﷺ? Allah wants only one thing from you—strong faith. Pray with sincerity and firmly believe that He has power over everything. If your prayers are delayed, understand that there is wisdom in it. Otherwise, a single command from Allah can change everything, just like the bright morning follows a dark night. His mercy opens doors from places you never expected. Allah will surely accept your prayers. He will not leave you empty-handed; instead, He plans to fill your hands with His blessings. If He has given you the ability to pray, it means He wants to bless you. If He did not value your tears, ...

Keep the Light Inside You Alive

Keep the Light Inside You Alive We are human beings. No matter how strong we become, there is always a weak side in us that needs healing. Sometimes, the soul feels weak. The heart becomes heavy with the weight of days, and the mind longs for peace from the noise of endless thoughts. Don’t let yourself fade away in silence. Renew your commitment to life. Find what brings light into your soul. Read what brings joy to your mind. Listen to the verses that awaken your heart. Dance to the innocence of your childhood, which still lives within you. Don’t let time erase your pure and beautiful self. You are not just a story to be closed—you are a life that deserves to be lived with passion and beauty. Always remember, there is a little child inside you that never grows old. Don’t silence its voice. Don’t lock it away under the weight of adulthood. Give it space to see the world with wonder, to find joy in the smallest things. That child is one of the most beautiful parts of you—don’t let ...

Respect Brings Fortune – Disrespect Brings Loss!

Respect Brings Fortune – Disrespect Brings Loss! Once, Hazrat Bahlool Dana was sitting in an orchard when a merchant passed by. The merchant greeted him respectfully, sat down humbly, and asked with great politeness: "Sir, which product should I buy to make a good profit?" Hazrat Bahlool Dana replied: "Buy black cloth." The merchant thanked him and quickly went back to buy all the black cloth available in the market. A few days later, a very important person in the city passed away. People rushed to buy black clothes for mourning. Since the merchant had all the black fabric, he sold it at a high price and became very rich. Sometime later, he was passing by on horseback and saw Hazrat Bahlool Dana again. This time, he spoke arrogantly: "O madman! What should I buy now?" Hazrat Bahlool Dana replied: "Buy watermelons." The merchant immediately spent all his wealth buying watermelons. Within a week, they rotted, and he lost everything, becoming comp...

Allah’s Love: He Never Wants to See You in Pain

Allah’s Love: He Never Wants to See You in Pain Allah never wants to see you in pain. That’s why, when something starts hurting you, He removes it from your life. When happiness doesn’t bring you closer to Him, He creates situations that make you run back to Him. Even if you don’t love Him, He loves you so much that He cannot bear to see you drift away from Him.

Stay Close to Allah: The Key to True Peace

Stay Close to Allah: The Key to True Peace Never let your connection with Allah weaken to the point where even prayers no longer support you. Do not drift so far from Him that He stops bringing you back. Believe this—nothing in the world is more valuable than peace, and true peace is only found in remembering Allah, in belonging to Him. Never forget Him. Because if you forget Him, it won’t affect Him in any way—He has many others. But if He leaves you alone, you will wither away.

Patience in Trials: Trust Allah and Keep Moving Forward

"Patience in Trials: Trust Allah and Keep Moving Forward" If you are in pain right now, it does not mean you should start complaining and forget about the countless blessings you already have. Do not ignore the millions of reasons for peace and happiness just because of one hardship. Do not let restlessness take over and then cry out for sympathy, saying, "I am sad, I am helpless, I have no support!" Listen! The people around you also carry deep sorrows within them. Everyone’s story is different, but pain is difficult for all. You are a complete human being—isn’t that a blessing? You can feel pain, express it, and share it with others—isn’t that Allah’s mercy upon you? Yes, those who can speak may not understand the struggles of the mute. Those who can hear do not know the suffering of the deaf. Those with sight cannot truly feel the darkness in which the blind live, no matter how bright the world is. Those with hands do not understand the pain of those who cannot ...

Trust in Allah: The Path Through Trials and Patience

The journey to Allah begins when you feel like all paths are closed. When the world exhausts you and brings you to your knees in frustration, He lifts you up and makes you stand again. Have you ever wondered where your strength and fearlessness come from? When you trust in Allah’s decisions, He gives you patience to accept them. Before allowing you to soar high, He teaches you to face the winds, so you understand that life’s journey is tough. If life were easy, patience wouldn’t be one of the doors to Jannah. Trust in Him—those who place their hopes in Allah never remain disappointed. He never leaves your hands empty; He fills them with something even better. Hold on to Him, and He will never let you fall. He knows everything—what you show and what you hide. He will never break the secret pain you’ve shared only with Him. So, be patient, trust Him, and wait—He will make everything right. It may seem like everything is over for now, but after this test, He will bring you back to li...
